St Margarets Hope Backpackers Hostel

Scottish Hostels, Bunkhouses and Camping Barns

St. Margarets Hope Backpackers is a traditional stone building. It has two family rooms, one single room, one four bedded room and one dorm with eight beds. It also has a fully equipped kitchen, laundry room and shower room.

St. Margarets Hope Backpackers is situated in one of the prettiest villages in Orkney.

There are three well stocked shops, a Post Office, three pubs serving good beer & food, an award-winning restaurant and a craft shop. During the summer the passenger-only ferry Pentland Venture sails three times a day and docks seven miles from the village. Pentland Ferries docks in the village, she sails all year three trips a day and takes vehicles. The bus stop is just across the road from the hostel for the bus which goes to Kirkwall four times a day.
